Proactive Facade and Parking Garage Management
Preserving Asset Value through Preventive Strategies
With over 15 years of experience in concrete restoration, waterproofing, and surface preparation, Sean Davis—Vice President of Construction at Pierce Property Services—shares practical insights into facade and parking garage systems, equipping attendees with tools to identify early warning signs and avoid major capital expenditures. Drawing from his national project management background and extensive work in the Boston market, Sean will discuss how his team developed proprietary monitoring software to help property managers track asset conditions in real time. Attendees will also gain a strategic lens on maintenance investments, understanding how timely interventions can prevent costly deterioration. A certified installer for leading coating systems and recent honoree in ICRI’s “40 Under 40,” Sean brings a deep commitment to education and industry leadership, including past service as President of ICRI’s New England Chapter and lectures for BOMA Boston.
Envelope’s Place in Regenerative Design, Circularity, and Carbon
A Contractor’s Perspective
As Sustainability Manager at Skanska USA Building, Jimmy Mitchell brings nearly two decades of leadership in sustainable construction and systems thinking. In this session, he explores the envelope’s evolving role in regenerative design, the circular economy, and embodied carbon strategies—from a contractor’s lens. Drawing on his deep expertise, including managing one of the Southeast’s most ambitious green buildings, the Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design, Jimmy will offer practical insights into materials reuse, construction waste diversion, and lifecycle impacts. A Georgia Tech civil engineering graduate, Jimmy was one of the state’s first LEED managers and is a founding board member of the Lifecycle Building Center. His work, from creating the Atlanta Mission urban garden to advancing carbon-conscious project delivery, underscores a career devoted to building not just structures—but systems that give back.
Thanks and see you there!
